DOM PERIGNON ROSE 2003
material very gradually disappears into a mineral, iodine, salty finish. The 2003 vintage is one of superlatives: a year like no other, defined by extremes. The vineyard was first touched by severe spring frosts and then by an unparalleled heat wave. The vintage of a perfectly ripe and healthy small harvest, is thus the most precocious since 1822.
LOUIS ROEDERER “CRISTAL” BRUT 2007
The attack of juicy ripe fruits and slightly acid red fruits combined with nuances of hot pastries and Tarte Tatin that have just been taken out of the oven. This juxtaposition of aromas of ripe, acid, and sweet fruits with the more roasted notes resulting from aging becomes more pronounced over time and produces a real impression of depth. The textures are silky, velvety, and almost luscious; they provide perfect overtones to the wine’s freshness in a luscious and sensual ensemble. Powdery and salty nuances stimulate the edges of the tongue, adding a precise and energetic quality. And the final phase of the tasting is predominantly an impression of refinement and lightness.
